Although I am a fan of many types of moldings, there has, in recent years, been a movement towards no moldings. This is achieved by taking plaster all the way to the joins. It is a tricky process, however, it does look brilliant particularly when combined with floor to ceiling doors, and windows.

Wow what a selection. I didn’t know crown moldings were still in such demand, but recently I see them in all the architectural and design magazines. Even homes done in the so-called modern style are using molding to break up their unsightly straight angles.

I am currently refurbishing my home. Most of the rough work went very quickly. I have come to find out that the finish and trim work not only takes more time but also is responsible for the majority of the look and feel of the finished project. After the rough work was done it was like I was looking at a blank canvas and didn’t really know what I wanted to do. Your site has helped me in this respect. By looking around I was able to get a general idea of where to start and now I have something to build upon. All of your designs have also given me more room to move as far as design concept.
