Who would have thought that it could be so dangerous being a logger? I guess it’s worth it though – cypress wood is amazing and has such a beautifully natural look to it. Must feel really strange to have to carry a gun for that though!

I had no idea this was the process of obtaining cypress wood. How much more valuable it is now in my mind! I love this wood.

I think recovering wood is amazing. I personally love wood and vintage materials in particular. I never knew there was such a thing as river reclaimed wood. It’s quite beautiful actually.

This is a great post. Nice to see that even home builders are being smart about recycling wood. What’s also great is this wood has character which to a buyer I’m sure would add value to the “look” of the house.
