Solid TimberSIL Wood Louvered Shutters
Durable, louvered shutters manufactured from solid wood are sure to add charm to any homes. Hand crafted from treated southern yellow pine which has been glass infused to resist rot, insects and even fire! So durable they are warranted against rot for 40-years. As functional as they are beautiful, and can be ordered with fixed or operating louvers, and a wide variety of styles.
Hand Crafted
A precision CAD drawing is made for each shutter and provided to the customer for approval. Our craftsmen then take lumber which they have processed to the correct dimension for the final shutter and mill the ends for dowels and create mortises for each louver. The panels are assembled by hand so each louver is set deeply into the mortise in each stile and a two-part tropical hardwood epoxy is applied at the doweled joints. The assembled panel is set aside while the glue cures.
Each louvered shutter is then machine sanded, hand sanded, for a natural finish or and can be primed, painted or stained.
Custom, not a one size fits all solution
In addition to specifying the dimensions, style and material, customers can request radius tops, operable louvers, custom rail placements and frame designs.
