that is some serious wood, and huge. I agree that cypress molding and flooring can make an excellent look to a home - but I know it can't be cheap especially all the things the cyprus loggers have to go through to get it.

Robert,

We agree regarding beauty of the reclaimed deadhead cypress lumber. As to our ability to write novels...I'd just leave it at we got lucky on this one.

Let us know if we could provide samples for your customers. We probably have close to 100,000bdft in 4/4 and 8/4 lumber available or in the process of air drying. Locally we see a lot of the pecky material being used for the panels with the stiles, rails and drawer fronts being manufactured from the solid stock.

Best.

PS - We recently had the opportunity to sort for color and ended up providing a rough sawn, black deadhead cypress floor to a Prince of a prominent European country. We're waiting on pictures and look forward to sharing in the near future.

Paul,

Thanks for the visit and thumbs up on the article. Do you have the lat/long of the sunken rig? Would love to have for my next outing in the boat...not to reclaim, but rather to haul in a couple of good fish for dinner!

Hope you're having a great weekend!
